I started this year with a lot of hefty goals for January and unfortunately not many of them were reached. January has been a whirlwind of changes and so many exciting things that writing in January just kind of took a backseat.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing at all. We all need breaks and time to process changes and work through them so we can come back to our goals and get back in the swing of things again.
This month, January 2020:
- Wrote 5,160 Words
- Started three new projects that have been in my head for a while
- “Humble Pie”
- “A Thousand Kisses Deep”
- “Ghost House Heart”
- Made decent progress in Under Grey Skies and finished some chapters
Goals for February 2020:
- Finish Under Grey Skies
- It’s time to sit down and finish it so I can move on to the rest of the series that needs my attention. I now have a direction and plan to smash my goals this month
- Get halfway in one of the new pieces I started (preferably more than one)
- Humble Pie
- A Thousand Kisses Deep
- Ghost House Heart
- Keep blogging here about writing topics
- I’ve been a bit distracted and busy with other things, but I plan on changing that. Keep an eye out for more Writer Life Lessons and other exciting things!
Overall, January was exactly what it needed to be and things worked out exactly how they should, even if it wasn’t a great writing month or productive project month. Here’s to February and getting back to smashing goals like a champion!
